Brace For Impact.
- Yeesh! Tough week!! First, the norovirus did a number on our household. Then my wife slipped on some ice whilst walking the dog and fractured her wrist. So all in all.. it was a bit of a ‘mare to say the least.
- I had a go at putting together a transformation road map. It probably deserves it’s own short post to describe the method to my madness. But the general idea is show what we’ve done so far and what we intend to do.
- I’ve also been thinking about how to articulate the whole transformation thing more effectively to the rest of the organisation. I suspect it’s mostly seen as a techie thing.. which is probably not helped by being driven by techie people. Fundamentally, we’re trying to shift from the old pattern where services where changed through projects and designed primarily by organisational needs, to a new pattern where we frame things through continuous service improvement through understanding user (for user read tenants/staff/landlord/customer) needs. We’re currently knocking about some ideas on how to communicate this most effectively. I’m also mindful that this is in an exercise in culture change and shifting power bases.
